WebOuest and Unis TV invite you to a Master Class, a discussion focusing on the writer-producer-director relationship. Four television industry professionals will answer questions from host Julie Carpentier, anchor and producer of Le Téléjournal Colombie-Britannique for the past 15 years.

The guest panelists will talk about their professions, helping us to better understand the constraints and realities of television production, and to learn more about managing expectations.

Guest panelistes:

  • Laura Carnet, writer-director,
  • Thérèse Champagne, researcher-writer,
  • Nathalie Lopez, director
  • Aurélien Offner, producer.

This evening is initiated by WebOuest and Unis TV, in collaboration with the Secrétariat du Québec aux relations canadiennes, the governments of Manitoba and Yukon, Élan, Telefilm Canada, the Canada Media Fund, the Alliance des producteurs francophones du Canada (APFC) and Netflix, as well as several partners including Simon Fraser University's Bureau des affaires francophones et francophiles and Ici Radio-Canada Colombie-Britannique.

This event is in French. Registration is free but mandatory.

This event is part of the Formations WebOuest & Unis TV project. The Office of Francophone and Francophile Affairs is pleased to collaborate with them on this initiative, which aims to provide free training for emerging Francophone creators in minority communities across the country.

As part of this project, Simon Fraser University will host scriptwriting and directing training sessions in February and March.
